When the Covid-19 pandemic forced us to rethink our distribution strategy, we looked to our recently launched app, Free2, to ensure that our work never missed a beat.

As we start a new year full of renewed hope, we are looking back on 2020 with gratitude knowing that rather than being forced to close our doors during a worldwide pandemic…Huru grew.

If the Covid-19 pandemic taught us anything, it’s that being flexible is key. Like most companies and organizations, Huru faced several obstacles in 2020 and was forced to adapt in ways we never could have expected.

Velnah has been with Huru since 2012 and has definitely collected some stories over the years. She’s passionate, determined, and always has a smile on her face. Hear from her as she navigates her work during Covid-19 times.

In 2018, Huru launched its Skills Transfer Program and has since met and trained incredible young women on the ins and outs of sewing and tailoring. Meet our first group of ladies to complete the program.

This is one of our all-time favorite distribution stories. Why? Because it’s a reminder that no matter the situation, rain, mud, lions, tigers, etc., our team is going to get pads to girls who need them. Period.
